Herburg Roses has a 40-hectare production site in Batu Town, Ethiopia, south of Addis Ababa. From this location, we export approximately 110 million roses annually, mainly destined for the retail market in the United Kingdom. We focus on a wide range of colors and a consistent, reliable quality for our customers.

From the start of our nursery in Ethiopia, we make conscious choices, with attention to the environment and to the people who work with us.
We work according to internationally recognized standards for sustainable and transparent floriculture and are certified according to MPS and Fairtrade, among others. To better understand and reduce our impact on the environment, we were the first nursery in Ethiopia to measure our environmental impact according to the FloriPEFCR method. These insights help us to improve step by step.
In addition to the environment, we believe it is at least as important to take good care of our people. Within our Fairtrade program, we support our people in basic needs such as food and education. We also work with local partners on educational and social initiatives such as our Herburg Special Needs School.
Herburg Roses is also certified according to EHPEA Silver and Gold, GLOBALG.A.P., MPS-ABC and MPS-SQ and works together with the local community and companies in the area.
